Velkommen til den mest spennende internasjonale konferansen om Smart Cities i 2018! Hva skal til for å skape glade og trygge innbyggere i en ukjent fremtid? Hvordan sikrer vi god livskvalitet i urbane miljø når fremtiden innebærer store endringer?

På konferansen Nordic Urban Assembly kobler vi ulike fagområder og viser deg hvilke verktøy som vil være katalysatorer for fremtidens gode byutvikling. Konferansen går over to dager og holdes i Grieghallen, i Universitetsaulaen og på den nyåpnede Kunsthøyskolen. Vi byr på et interessant program levert fra noen av verdens fremste eksperter på smarte byer!

  • Ayesha Khanna, Founder of ADDO AI and CEO of Technology Quotient

    Ayesha Khanna is a technology, urbanization and education expert with over 15 years of experience in product and service innovation and human capital development. She advises companies and governments on smart city related strategies and investments.

  • Dr. Rachel Armstrong, Professor at Newcastle University

    Rachel Armstrong is Professor of Experimental Architecture at the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape, Newcastle University. She is a sustainability innovator who investigates a new approach to building materials called ‘living architecture,’ which suggests it is possible for our buildings to share some of the properties of living systems.

  • Rashik Parmar, Technical Executive Europe IBM Distinguished Engineer

    Rashik is the leader of IBM’s European technical community and an IBM Distinguished Engineer and previously President of IBM’s Academy of Technology. He was awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) as part of the HRH Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday honours for his contribution to business and innovation.

  • Dr. Nelly Ben Hayoun, Designer of Experiences

    Nelly and her studios have worked and consulted for the likes of world class clients including NASA, Google HQ, Mailchimp HQ, BBC, Apple HQ, Air Bnb HQ, XL Recordings, Mattel HQ, and Autodesk amongst many others.

  • Carlo Ratti, Director MIT Senseable City Lab

    An architect and engineer by training, Carlo Ratti practices in Italy, where he is the founding partner of Carlo Ratti Associati studio, and teaches at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he directs the Senseable City Lab.

  • Anna Rosling Rönnelund, Head of Design & User Experience Gapminder

    Anna Rosling Rönnlund has designed the user-interface of the famous animating bubble-chart tool called Trendalyzer, used by millions of students across the world, to understand multidimensional time series.

  • Christine Sagen Helgø, Mayor of Stavanger

    Christine Sagen Helgø has been the mayor of Stavanger since the regional election of October 2011. She was also the president of the World Energy Cities group for the 2014-2016 term.

  • Håkon Iversen, Chief Marked Manager & Lead Sustainable Urban Planning at COWI

    Håkon founded Nordic Urban Design Association (NUDA) in 2005 with the intention of promoting Urban Design as a profession in Norway, and bring awareness to the unique set of skills an urban designer can bring to city planning projects and discussions.

  • Aleksi Neuvonen, Founder and Head of Research Demos Helsinki

    Aleksi Neuvonen is a futures researcher and an expert on urban development and lifestyle changes, with a fifteen-year career in multi-disciplinary social research.

  • Dr. Hannah Jones, Design Educator & Researcher

    Dr. Hannah Jones is a design educator and researcher with expertise in design, collaboration and sustainable futures. She is currently working with the and Stanford’s Human Cities Initiative on the development of new courses on the topics of gender in technology and civic innovation.

  • Bas Boorsma, Director North Europe, Cisco Internet of Things & City Digitization

    Bas has a rich background as a City Digitization specialist. In that capacity he has managed a portfolio of smart city endeavors globally.

  • Dr. Barbara Imhof, Co-founder and CEO of LIQUIFER Systems Group

    Barbara Imhof is an internationally active space architect, design researcher and educator. Her projects deal with spaceflight parameters such as with living with limited resources, minimal and transformable spaces, resource-conserving systems; all aspects imperative to sustainability.

  • Terje Svabø, The Moderator

    Terje Svabø is an experienced journalist with many years of working in Aftenposten, VG, NRK and TV 2.
